RPRT18 | How do you get in the room and get noticed? (w/ Blake Simon)

This week, Mike and Lance caught up with a remarkable guest and fellow Filmquest Alumni, Blake Simon.

Blake, a talented writer and director, is renowned for his work on genre films such as Faces (2024), Red Velvet (2023), and Goldilocks (2016) which has amassed over half a million views. And when he’s not helming his own projects, Blake delves into the producing world on little projects like the blockbuster Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

During the podcast, Blake emphasizes the importance of taking risks and following your passion. Two things that helped him to find his voice as a director, got him working with James Mangold on multiple projects, and even led to a close encounter with another directing legend - Steven Spielberg.

Hold onto your butts, it’s a great episode to get inspired!
