EP46 | Working for your Heroes(Guest Alejandro Montoya Marin)

Alejandro Montoya Marin Podcast

In this episode, Pecci has an in-depth conversation with indi-filmmaker Alejandro Montoya Marin about his progression from directing shorts to feature films. They talk about the value of film festivals and what it's like to meet your heroes in the film business. Alejandro got to meet his (director Robert Rodreguez) when he was chosen to be featured on the El Rey Network-produced documentary show, REBEL WITHOUT A CREW: THE SERIES. With a budget of only $7000 and 14 days of shooting time, Alejandro was able to adapt his award-winning short film, MONDAY, into a feature film. The movie premiered at a special screening during the 2018 SXSW FESTIVAL and most recently was screened to a sold-out audience at the SOHO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL.
